The North San Joaquin Valley COVID-19 Impact Review
We continue to experience and learn about impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic over two years since its onset. To begin a process of reflection and discussion around these impacts on the North San Joaquin Valley (NSJV) region, the Center for Business and Policy Research (CBPR), in partnership with the San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG), presented findings from a report on some of the impacts of COVID-19 on the NSJV at the SJCOG Speaker Series NSJV COVID-19 Impacts event on June 28th, 2022. See presentation slides here. (A video recording of the presentation is available online here.) The event marked the release of CBPR’s analysis of the pandemic’s impacts on Merced, Stanislaus, and San Joaquin Counties (the NSJV Region), including a comparison of the NSJV’s experience with other parts of northern California, the state as a whole, and the nation. See the report here.
